Feeling Good Wellness Center was founded to promote evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help patients achieve their optimal mental and physical health. We are dedicated to guiding our patients from illness to wellness.

Our Story…

We started with a vision, which was to establish centers of psychotherapy in local communities, and to bring quality mental healthcare using direct services and educational programs for the public and the professional community.

In 2014, the first center was opened in Silicon Valley in Fremont, California. Four years later, a second center would open in the seaside city of Santa Cruz. And as of Spring 2020, the center offers its clinical services to the entire state of California via on-line Telehealth platforms, and its training services to clinicians from across the nation and worldwide. Forging relationships within our community has been a basis of our connection with the public.

Feeling Good Wellness Center was established to promote the quality of psychotherapy delivered to clients. Our clinicians offer high quality work as a result of their rigorous training, years of clinical experience, and personal compassion to clients at our center.

Because the center is committed to education, therapists here continue to hone their skills in training and consultation and they participate in outreach through mental health activities in the community. We are dedicated to serving our clients using an evidence-based practice and making our services accessible.

Our History…

When the center opened its doors for the first time in 2014, its mission was to provide high-quality psychotherapy to everyone. This is because Dr. Dashtban, the founder of the center, believes that access to high-quality mental health services is a right, not a privilege.

Feeling Good Wellness Center offers therapy that is based on the research and findings of Stanford Professor Emeritus Dr. David Burns, author of several bestseller self-help books, including Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy.

This type of therapy is called TEAM-CBT, and is based on the idea that people can change the way they feel by changing their outlook.

TEAM-CBT is an evidence-based and highly structured style of therapy in which patients receive empathy as well as a highly skillful way of overcoming their emotional and psychological issues with the help of techniques and tools specifically assigned to them.
